Trading Partner
The role the industry runs on and no software has a name for. Here it is a party to the transaction, with the part it played recorded rather than left as an understanding between two phone calls.
Primary function
Intermediary for input sourcing and trading, and bird marketing.
Typical activity
Source or resell chicks and feed; connect farmers with Lifting Partners; coordinate transactions.
The work
How a trading partner moves through a job
- 01 Farmer requests inputs or offers harvest
- 02 Partner sources, quotes or connects counterparties
- 03 Parties confirm terms
- 04 Supplier or lifter fulfils
- 05 Receipt or pickup confirmed
- 06 Fees and settlement reconciled
What is shared
You are party to a transaction, not to a business
Access follows the deal. Joining one gives you the parts of the record your deal touches, for as long as it is live — and nothing either side of it.
What you see
- Offers and requests they were asked to place, and what they forwarded on.
- Quotes they sourced, and which of them were accepted.
- The deals they facilitated, and the fee recorded against each.
What stays yours
Where this stands today
Built: harvest offers can be forwarded, input quotes raised as agent or reseller, and an accepted quote becomes an order carrying the facilitation fee. The fee is recorded as owed; paying it out is not yet a flow in the product.
